Mt. Sneffels and approaching storm at Yankee Boy Basin, Uncompahgre National Forest, San Juan Range, Colorado

I hiked as far as Yankee Boy Basin with the intent of climbing Mount Sneffels, the 14,000-footer show here. But the storm moving in changed my plans. Lightning and 4 hours of periodically intense rainfall would have made it a dicey and inadvisable effort.
