Yaks grazing in Yumthang valley

Yaks grazing the fields are a common sight in Yumthang valley, Sikkim, India, the local people rear and breed them for various purposes from dairy products to clothing and even transportation; yaks are very useful here in the hills. Some locals even offer rides on yakÃ¢â¬â¢s back, visitors generally find it very amusing.
