Ruins of ancient Stagira

Antique colony of the 7th century BC. Ruined in the fourth century BC, then rebuilt at the request of Aristotle. Aristotle`s birthplace and burial site. Ruins are located near the village resort Olimpiada near the eastern coast of the peninsula of Chalkidice.
