Lençóis Maranhenses: a desert rich in water?
The Lençóis Maranhenses Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, Barreirinha City, Maranhão State, Brazil although they have many desert features, can not be classified as such because they have a much higher rainfall rate annual average 1,500 mm than deserts 200 mm/year. Its rains are concentrated from January to July, the rest of the year being totally dry.
